The White House has left social media users confused after posting two enigmatic videos on its official X page. One of the puzzling clips was deleted shortly after, adding to the mystery surrounding the posts.

White House deletes ominous video from X account

The official White House (formerly Twitter) X account posted two cryptic videos on Wednesday, March 25, sparking confusion and speculation among people. One of the videos was soon deleted, but has already been shared by many users and continues to make the rounds on social media. The second clip is still live on the official X page.

The deleted video was seemingly filmed from a phone with the camera pointed to the ground. It shows a woman wearing boots and a dress, who can be heard saying, “It’s so cool. It’s launching soon, right?” The clip also featured a caption in the center that read, “sound on.” Moments later, a man off-camera was heard saying, “Yes,” indicating that whatever they are discussing is expected to arrive shortly.

The second video, which is still available on the official White House X page, is a 4-second clip featuring a blank screen followed by a text message alert sound and some static. It was posted along with a cell phone emoji and a speaker emoji in the caption.

According to PEOPLE, a White House spokesperson addressed the enigmatic videos by saying, “I wonder what’s launching soon!” Authorities have not made any official comments on the matter.

The cryptic posts have left social media users baffled, with many speculating what the videos could denote. While some are convinced that the White House X account has been hacked, others believe they saw some numbers appear in the static. “There’s letters in the static but i can’t tell what they spell out. Tried mirroring, still confusing,” one user wrote, trying to decode the alleged code.

Amid the wave of theories regarding the videos, the purpose behind posting them remains unclear.
