Victoria Beckham makes family statement amid Brooklyn Beckham feud

Victoria Beckham thanked her family and husband, David Beckham, while accepting a top honor from the French Ministry of Culture amid the couple's public rift with her 26-year-old son, Brooklyn Beckham.
The British designer and mother of four was named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France on Monday, Jan. 26, for her contributions to the fashion industry.
"Thank you also to business partners who believed in me, my family, and especially David — my husband, and original investor. I couldn't be more grateful, you are my everything," she wrote in a celebratory Instagram post.
She added that she has always "deeply admired the French aesthetic and the seriousness with which it treats fashion: as a form of art. So to be recognised here and embraced in this way, is a profound privilege — one that reflects decades of commitment and dedication."

Her 14-year-old daughter commented on the post, writing "My biggest role model x," while her 23-year-old son, Romeo Beckham, congratulated her in his Instagram story, writing "Proud of you mum."
It's unclear where Victoria's relationship with her son, Brooklyn, stands after he blasted his parents in a fiery Instagram post on Jan. 19, outlining why they are estranged.
In a follow-up post on Jan. 27, Victoria wrote: "I couldn’t be more grateful."

In an over 800-word post, he accused his parents of "consistently" disrespecting his wife and "Bates Motel" actress Nicola Peltz Beckham.
Victoria and David Beckham's representatives did not respond to USA TODAY requests for comment.
"Inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into," he wrote. "My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation. All we want (is) peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family."
He clarified he has no desire to "reconcile with (his) family" after they controlled him for most of his life, adding that he is "standing up for (himself) for the first time in (his) life."
Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham married in 2022 and renewed their vows in August 2025. Victoria and David attended the wedding but were absent for the vow renewal.

Victoria Beckham has not publicly responded to Brooklyn's condemnation of his family; however, David Beckham seemingly addressed the comments during his Jan. 20 appearance on CNBC's "Squawk Box," where he said social media can be fertile ground for children to make "mistakes."

The 50-year-old retired soccer star said he has previously addressed the fact that social media has power for both good and bad, saying, "The bad we've talked about with what kids can access these days, it can be dangerous."
"That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well," he added.
David Beckham continued: "What I have found personally, especially with my kids as well, use it for the right reasons. I've been able to use my platform and my following for UNICEF. And it has been the biggest tool to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children."
