Valerie Bertinelli isnât grossed out by a little dog slobber.
The *One Day at a Time *actress accidentally ate a piece of food that had been licked by Drew Barrymoreâs dog Douglas during a food segment on Thursdayâs episode of *The Drew Barrymore Show* â and, honestly, she wasnât that bothered by it.
Bertinelli was sharing how party hosts can create individual cheese plates for their guests when she pulled out a small dish filled with an array of cheeses, olives, and meats.
âYou know what, I want you to eat mine. Wait, wait, wait! Oh!â costar Ross Mathews said just as Bertinelli popped an olive from the plate into her mouth. âOkay, well, Drewâs dog Dougie was licking your cheese plate back there before you pulled it out.â

The crowd immediately let out a mix of laughter and groans as Mathews tried to swap his plate for the one in front of Bertinelli. However, she turned down the idea and kept her own plate.
But Bertinelli wasnât fazed. âItâs okay,â she said.
âYou donât care? Okay,â he asked. Bertinelli quickly shook her head, replying, âI donât care.â
Mathews added, âI was trying to jump in front of the olives!â

Drew Barrymore reveals the 1 thing she wouldn't let Adam Sandler do on any of their movies together

Swiftly moving on from the incident, Barrymore shared that she thinks more party foods should be delivered in a personalized fashion rather than in large amounts.
âAnother thing I think could meet this is the guacamole,â the host said. âDonât do the large guacamole bowl. Itâs foul. Itâs disgusting. It browns. Itâs double-dipped and Iâm so mad at it. Just do little bowls!â
âIndividual guac bowls!â Bertinelli said. âI love that!â

Mathews was also fully on board with a little cheese board. âIf I walked into a party and there was a little cheese plate here?â he said. âHappy Ross, okay? This is so good!â
And, in Douglasâ defense, Bertinelli explained that the cheese boards they were snacking on were particularly tasty. âDonât you love these crackers?â she asked her fellow Drew's News desk companions. âTheyâre like pretzels with just enough salt on âem. Crunchy, itâs the best part of a pretzel!â

The Douglas-licked food plate.
The Drew Barrymore Show
Bertinelli may have been a little less grossed out by Douglasâ sneaky snacking because she has several pets of her own, including dog Luna and cats Batman, Tigger, Sir Henry, Bubba, and Beau.
Last month, she posted a video of herself signing copies of her upcoming memoir *Getting Naked: The Quiet Work of Becoming Perfectly Imperfect *with Batman sitting next to her and surveying her work.
âBatman has been very helpful as Iâve been signing away for my new book, *Getting Naked*,â Bertinelli wrote in the postâs caption.
*The Drew Barrymore Show* airs weekdays on CBS.
