Too Hot to Handle alum Hannah Brooke Sanders and NFL player Jermaine Johnson II have tied the knot!
The Netflix star and the pro athlete, both 27, said “I do” on Friday, July 17, and they announced the news on Instagram three days later. The couple’s “timeless” and “romantic” ceremony took place on the oceanfront lawn of the luxury resort Montage Laguna Beach in Laguna Beach, California.
“The best beach fairy-tale wedding you could picture,” Sanders exclusively tells PEOPLE.

The celebration began with a rehearsal dinner on the rose garden patio of the classic Southern California restaurant Las Brisas on Thursday, July 16.
The next day, the bride and groom walked down a grass aisle covered in white rose petals, following their children and wedding party. Their 6-month-old son, Kayto, rode down the aisle in a miniature white Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon to deliver the rings, and Johnson’s daughter, Collins, from a previous relationship walked hand-in-hand with her grandmother as the flower girl.

The couple exchanged vows overlooking the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by family and friends. Among the 130 guests were many influencers and athletes, including Love Island’s Leslie Golden and Too Hot to Handle’s Christine Obanor, alongside scores more content creators. NFL players Trey Benson, Jared Verse, Garrett Wilson, Amari Gainer, Will McDonald, Jamien Sherwood, Nolan Smith, Quincy Williams, and Jeffery Simmons also attended the nuptials.
“When we started planning, we just wanted a big party for all our friends and family and that’s exactly what it was,” Sanders says, adding, “Love was in the air!”

The ceremony was officiated by Sanders’ uncle, Dennis.
A harpist and violinist played “romantic and elegant” music during the ceremony and cocktail hour. As the celebration transitioned into the reception, a DJ kept the dance floor packed all night and the newlyweds had their first dance to “The Matrimony” by Wale, featuring Usher. Adding to the fun, a few guests grabbed the microphone throughout the evening to sing along to their favorite songs.

Inside the “dreamy” ballroom was flowing drapery, crystal chandeliers, and a champagne tower. To keep the energy going, Sanders and Johnson selected one guest from each table to be crowned king or queen for the evening, complete with a crown and a personalized instruction card waiting at their seat. Their royal duties? To keep the drinks flowing, encourage everyone to dance, and ensure everyone had an unforgettable time.

A baby iceberg salad, seared okra king salmon, and blue cheese-crusted filet, were served for dinner, and sea salt caramel apple ice cream sandwich torte for dessert. The three-tiered red velvet wedding cake was filled with cream cheese frosting and decorated with a vintage piping and roses.

Sanders wore a floral, V-neck wedding dress designed by Pronovias that she describes as “very fairy-tale, princess, [and] elegant.” She says, “The design and lace drew me to the dress.” Johnson, who was traded to the Tennessee Titans from the New York Jets earlier this offseason, matched his bride in white.
The couple ended the night by driving off in an old-school car.

Sanders and Johnson first connected in Scottsdale, Arizona, at an event for the 2023 Super Bowl. About two years later in June 2025, the NFL player proposed during a family trip in Orlando.
“He surprised me by decorating the entire downstairs area of our Airbnb where we were all staying together,” Sanders shares. “He had flowers, champagne, candles and everything. Our kids and families were there, and then we all went to Disney World after.”

The couple chose to wed in Laguna Beach because it holds a special place in their hearts.
“I grew up in California and we spent an offseason there, going to Laguna Beach all the time,” Sanders explains. “After that, we went back there for getaways, Valentine’s Day, and other special occasions. Laguna Beach was always a special place which is why we decided that’s where we wanted to get married.”
