Tom Brady was stunned when seeing the replay of Jayden Daniels' elbow injury on Sunday afternoon.

Tom Brady was just like the rest of us after seeing Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels go down late in the first half of their game with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.

Brady, calling the game on Fox, was left stunned by the replay that showed Daniels’ elbow bend awkwardly out of place at AT&T Stadium.

“Oh shit,” Brady exclaimed.

While it may have been among the most relatable things Brady has ever done, he quickly apologized for his gaffe.

“Excuse me,” he said. “Was not expecting to see that.”

Daniels was stepped on as he took a snap near the Cowboys’ goal line right before halftime, and he stumbled to the ground. As he was going down, he braced himself with his arm. The injury looked similar to the dislocated left elbow he suffered last season.

Specifics aren’t known, but Daniels was carted off the field to the locker room as the two teams went back for halftime. The Commanders ruled him out with a left elbow injury soon after.

The injury was the second significant one in the final sequence. Cowboys cornerback Cobie Durant was stepped on by teammate Markquese Bell in several spots that you do not want to be stepped on. RedZone’s Scott Hanson had the unique call on that one.

Durant ended up walking back to the locker room early.

Brady signed a massive 10-year deal to become Fox Sports’ lead analyst alongside Kevin Burkhardt after his playing career ended. He’s only in the third season with Fox, but fully plans to be with the network through the deal.

“I have a lot to prove to myself, to my teammates. I have a lot to prove to the executives,” Brady said earlier this month, via the Sports Business Journal. “I want to go earn it and I don’t want anything given to me. I hope they’ll have me through the end of this contract.”

While his expletive on Sunday may not have been the most professional, it’s easy to understand why it slipped out. The replay of Daniels’ injury was brutal.
