Alexandra, the granddaughter of the late Princess Grace of Monaco (aka actress Grace Kelly), received her proposal piece from longtime boyfriend Ben-Sylvester Strautmann. She announced their engagement in a September 2026 Instagram post.

“The marriage plot 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛,” the 27-year-old wrote in the caption, alongside pictures of her wearing a dazzling yellow diamond ring from her new fiancé.

She and Strautmann have been romantically linked since 2016, according to People. They made their debut as a couple in a very rom-com-coded way: Stepping out together at Monaco’s Rose Ball in 2017. The outlet reported that the princess’s new jewel was designed by Antinori di Sanpietro. It’s set in an 18-karat yellow and white gold band. Per Tatler, Strautmann chose the ring himself.

Her grandmother’s ring had a similar design. Kelly’s featured a 10.48-carat diamond flanked by two tapered baguette-cut stones. But her trilogy had one key difference—the central stone was a classic white diamond, in line with the movie star’s elegant, timeless aesthetic. Alexandra’s yellow stone reflects the modern preference for unique baubles and colorful stones.

Her ring is worth an estimated $203,000.

They may not be crown jewels, but Alexandra’s new diamonds are nevertheless fit for a princess. According to People, the ring is valued at around $203,000. While that’s well above the average ring cost, it pales in comparison to the cost of Princess Grace’s Cartier sparkler. That one set Alexandra’s grandfather, Prince Rainier III, back an estimated $4.06 million in 1956. Today, it’s worth an estimated $38.8 million, according to Brides and other outlets.
