Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season is nearly in the books, with just two games left to go.
An injury to Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams headlined the news cycle after going down in the fourth quarter with an apparent non-contact injury. He was carted off before the team ruled him out with a hamstring injury. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed suffered a scary neck injury and was also carted off after being stabilized on a backboard.
Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels appeared to dislocate the same elbow that sidelined him during last season. He was trying to brace himself on the ground, and it looked like his elbow popped out, and the replay was pretty gruesome.
On the non-injury front, the Raiders upset the Chargers to move to 2-0. Justin Herbert fumbled three times, but didn’t lose any of them. He threw two interceptions, though, and now has three interceptions through two games as the Mike McDaniel-Herbert combo continues to stumble out of the gate.

Atlanta needs Michael Penix Jr. or Tua Tagovailoa to get healthy, and fast. Cooper Rush was benched after another turnover-filled start, and fourth-string QB Jack Strand threw a pick-6 on his first career pass. The Falcons’ next three games are all in primetime.
Dak Prescott now has the most passing touchdowns in Dallas Cowboys history. He has six touchdowns and just one interception through two games to begin the year.
It was another week of players with multiple touchdowns. Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the way with three against the Cardinals, while CeeDee Lamb, Christian McCaffrey, Ja’Marr Chase and Raiders wide receiver Cody White all had two in their respective games.
Here is a breakdown of all the action from the early and afternoon slate on Sunday in Week 2.
