The complaint, filed with the House Committee on Ethics on Sept. 17, also alleges that she paid one of the staffers $200,000 not to file an ethics complaint
The congresswoman denied the allegations, with a spokesperson telling PEOPLE: “Congresswoman Lauren Boebert rejects these allegations as utterly false and there is no truth to them whatsoever”
Rep. Lauren Boebert is denying accusations that she engaged in sexual relationships with three of her staffers, as well as paid one of the staffers $200,000 not to file an ethics complaint.
A complaint filed with the House Committee on Ethics on Thursday, Sept. 17 and obtained by the Colorado Times Recorder, alleges that the congresswoman, 39, had relationships with three House employees under her direct supervision.
The complaint — which names former District Director Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, District Chief of Staff Raven Finegan and former Chief of Staff Jeffrey Small as the three people involved in affairs with Boebert — alleges that the Republican violated the House rule that prohibits members from having sexual relationships with their own staff.
Additionally, the complaint alleges that Navarro, a former Colorado state representative, received a $200,000 payment arranged by Boebert to prevent her from filing her own ethics complaint.

In a statement to PEOPLE, a spokesperson for Boebert denied the allegations, calling them “baseless.”
“Congresswoman Lauren Boebert rejects these allegations as utterly false and there is no truth to them whatsoever,” the spokesperson said. “This is nothing more than a politically motivated stunt designed to manipulate the ethics process, create headlines, smear her, and generate clickbait.”
“They come from an activist who has long recycled sensational claims, including numerous baseless accusations previously fact-checked as false,” the spokesperson added.
The complaint was filed by American Muckrakers’ David Wheeler, who cited anonymous sources.

According to the Times Recorder, the complaint describes meetings in Ratzlaff’s office, in the campaign-paid vehicle, and in hotel rooms at the campaign’s expense. It also claims that the $200,000 payment was made in March 2025, after Ratzlaff had quit and allegedly told Boebert she was going to make her own ethics complaint.
Ratzlaff dismissed the allegations as “entirely false and defamatory” in a statement to the Colorado outlet.

“These allegations regarding me are entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous. There is absolutely no truth to any part of this claim,” she said.
The House Ethics Committee has yet to announce a review of the claims.
Boebert split from husband Jayson Boebert in 2023, and she has since begun a relationship with real estate broker Kyle Pearcy.
The congresswoman has previously faced scrutiny over her personal relationships.
In June 2026, she shut down an interview with Fox News Digital after being asked about allegations she had a relationship with Congressman Thomas Massie.
In the video interview, Boebert was discussing recently ousted GOP representatives who had lost their primaries when she mentioned Massie, 55.
The reporter then began, “One of his exes was making headlines saying that you guys…” before Boebert cut him off.
“F--- you, first of all. If you’re gonna bring me into this, like, this sexist stuff is out of control. There’s your clickbait that you were looking for. I don’t wanna talk about anybody’s exes and their crazy s--- that they do,” Boebert said, before walking away from the reporter.
In 2023, Boebert also made headlines after she was escorted from a public theatre in Denver for “causing a disturbance” that allegedly included “groping” her date, according toThe Guardian.
Security personnel affiliated with the Buell Theatre in downtown Denver removed Boebert and Quinn Gallagher, a restaurateur in Aspen, Colo., from a touring production of the Beetlejuice musical on September 10, 2023. An incident report provided to the Denver Post claimed Boebert was vaping, singing and taking flash photos with her cellphone during the performance.
In a statement to media outlets at the time, Boebert blamed a “public and difficult divorce” for her behavior, which she said “fell short of my values.”
