JD Vance reportedly wanted to name his fourth baby Donald. As per Rob Shuter, the U.S. Vice President and his wife, Usha Vance, announced the birth of their fourth child, Alec Neel Vance, on July 19. Vance reportedly wanted to name their son “Donald” to honor President Trump. However, his wife, Usha, wasn’t keen on the idea.

JD Vance reportedly suggested naming their fourth baby “Donald” to honor President Trump. However, as per Rob Shuter, his wife Usha refused the idea. One Washington insider shared: “J.D. floated the idea of naming the baby Donald. He thought it would be the ultimate tribute to President Trump. J.D. knows the President appreciates loyalty, and he believed it would be a meaningful gesture.”

However, Usha reportedly shot down the idea, “politely but firmly.”

Friends shared that the couple ultimately zeroed in on the baby’s current name, Alec Neel. Interestingly, Alec Neel’s birth is a historic one, with him becoming the first child born to a sitting U.S. Vice President in more than a century and a half.

A Republican insider reportedly joked: “J.D. knew when to surrender. He may be Vice President of the United States, but at home he knows exactly who gets the final vote.”

President Trump has congratulated the couple on the newest addition to their family. Vance and his wife shared a wholesome post announcing the birth of their son on July 19. As per the post, the child and mother are happy and healthy, and the other Vance kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother.

They also thanked the medical teams at Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit. Vance and his wife described their work as a “blessing” for their family.
