Howard Stern isn't afraid to get a little salacious — even if the person he's interviewing is TV icon Al Roker.
On Tuesday, Roker, 71, was treated to a broadcast packed with surprises while celebrating his 30th anniversary at *Today*. Among the roster of unexpected guests, Stern called in to ask the veteran meteorologist a couple of questions about his major milestone — including a query that he dubbed "controversial," but insisted, "everybody wants to know."
Stern said, "I know you don’t like controversy, but — do you have weather groupies? Are there women out there who are ready to sleep with you in a minute?"
Roker, who has been married to his wife Deborah Roberts since 1995, immediately burst into laughter. But Stern didn't back down.

"Seriously," he insisted. "Answer the question. Are there women who have thrown themselves at you and you've had to say, 'Look, I'm a professional'? Has there been anything tawdry?"
Roker, still laughing, said a firm, "No." He then looked to co-host Craig Melvin on the *Today* couch and joked, "Craig has thrown himself at me."
Laughing it off, Melvin replied, "Oh, stop. Don't drag me into this."
Stern then quipped, "Is that gonna be the new *Heated Rivalry*?"

That wasn't Stern's only attempt to get a juicy story out of Roker. At another point in their conversation, he asked the TV presenter if his 30-year anniversary meant that he could finally spill some tea about those he's shared the couch with.
"Are you ready to come clean now and tell people outrageous things now that you've lasted 30 years?" Stern asked. "You don't even need to be there anymore. You've made so much money. Will you tell people like, which guests had the worst breath?"
Roker, who joined the show in 1996 as a replacement for the late Willard Scott, was in good spirits as he shut that line of questioning down.
"After I'm finally off the air — but not until then," he replied. "Because I need this job. I got a daughter getting married this spring."

Stern's appearance was part of a jam-packed *Today* broadcast, dubbed the Al-iversary, which honored the legendary weatherman with a series of moving tributes to mark his three-decade career at the morning show. Prior to calling in, Stern admitted to being confused about his inclusion on his SiriusXM broadcast of *The Howard Stern Show.*
"Why would they want me to get on there?" he wondered aloud. "The request was, 'Would you get on the *Today* show and say something about Al?' And I was like, 'Does Al have any friends?' I barely know Al, really."
Stern later echoed this on the show, while chatting with Roker, where he candidly told the *Today* host, "I barely know you. Share with me Al: Do you not know anyone besides me? You must have a friend to appear before me, you and I barely know each other. I'm baffled by this."

Jokes aside, he noted that Roker's 30-year tenure on the show is "an amazing accomplishment" and praised him for his decades-long success.
