Cindy Crawford's Heartfelt Tribute to Son Presley Gerber Before His Tragic Death

Just two months before his tragic death, Cindy Crawford was sharing how proud she was of her son, Presley Gerber.

In a touching Instagram post shared on his 27th birthday in July 2026, Crawford wrote, “I’m so proud of the man you’ve become, but I’ll always see you as my little boy! Love you.”

She also shared two throwback photos of Presley as a young boy. Sadly, after struggling with addiction for years, Presley died on September 20, 2026, while seeking treatment at a rehab facility.

“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” a rep for Crawford shared with TMZ.

Presley is Crawford’s only son with her husband, Rande Gerber. The 60-year-old supermodel is also a mom to daughter Kaia Gerber.

Kaia, 25, recently opened up about her brother and his struggles with drugs in an interview with Vogue, published one month before his death.

“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” Kaia said. “I think that’s also why I started to self-​identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”

She continued, “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything — and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’ There’s only so much you can hide from the world.”

Before his death, Presley opened up about his own struggles in a video he shared on Instagram.

“Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now,” he shared before revealing he was taking medications such as Buprenorphine, Xanax, and Valium to treat his panic attacks.

Crawford also commented on another of Presley’s video from March 2026, undergoing treatment, writing, “You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!”

His dad added, “I’m so proud of you and your courage. Facing what’s hard takes real strength, and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much.”
