The pro behind Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez's famous hairstyles revealed the staggering amount of money he once charged for a haircut
He also shared what the pricey cut included and how he distributed the money
Chris Appleton is cashing in on his sought-after skills.
The celebrity hairstylist, whose clients include Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, revealed the jaw-dropping amount he's charged for a haircut — and what it entailed.
Appearing on the the U Up? podcast, Appleton was asked what he would charge for a haircut. His response: "I've charged everything from $100 back in the day to," he began before getting coy about the highest amount he's charged a client.
"Oh God, like $100K," he confessed, "But that was to travel. That was a whole situation. That sort of thing is a one-off." Appleton then revealed the real truth behind a big paycheck. "Don't forget, then you get taxed 50 percent, then your agent takes something. It gets dwindled down."

Podcasts aren't the only place where Appleton is getting real.
The hair guru is coming off the release of his telling book, Your Roots Don't Define You, in which he opens up about some of his "darkest times," including being bullied as a child and fighting to have the career he dreamed of, while also touching upon his brief marriage to actor Lukas Gage.
Along the way, Appleton also provides tips for readers to transform their own lives and be anyone they want to be.
"I think probably more than anything, people know Chris Appleton as working with celebrities, a polished version on Instagram, maybe my relationship status," he shared with PEOPLE. "What I really wanted to do is strip all that away and give a very raw, authentic, real version of what it's like to live a life as a celebrity hairstylist. To work with some of the most famous women in the world, and how I got there."
Appleton said he wants readers to "absolutely know that everything I posted on social media was a lie to an extent, because it was just a version of the bigger truth."
"What people are going to find in the book is the behind-the-scenes of what it took to get to that point. This is going to be the BTS of my life, the lives I live in and work in. And really to give people the inspiration to know that they can transform their life, they can create their comeback at any age."
