Cardinals lineman Isaiah Adams facing four gun charges in Canada, plans to report to training camp

Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams faces four gun charges in Canada but still intends to report to training camp Wednesday, according to ESPN.

Adams — who was born in Canada — turned himself in to Durham Regional Police in Toronto on Sunday. He faces charges of “possessing a weapon by crime, possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm without a license, possessing a loaded firearm and possessing a prohibited device,” per ESPN.

The 25-year-old Adams was arrested in connection with a Guns and Gangs investigation that resulted in four arrests. Adams and his sister, 27-year-old Allyson Adams, were arrested of the same four gun charges.

Two other individuals — Jaelin Gamble and Natasha Rotta — were arrested on charges of fentanyl possession and trafficking.

Adams reportedly already returned to Arizona following the arrest, per ESPN.

The Cardinals released a statement confirming the team was aware of the situation, but would not comment further due to the ongoing investigation, according to ESPN.

The Cardinals selected Adams in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He started five games as a rookie before taking on a bigger workload in Year 2. After starting 11 games for the team last season, Adams was expected to be the team’s starter at right guard in 2026.

Adams did not grade out well in 2025 per PFF’s metrics, which ranked him as the 56th guard in the NFL. He showed more promise as a pass blocker last year, where he ranked as the 28th best guard.

Cardinals players are set to report to training camp Wednesday before taking part in their first team practice Thursday. It’s unclear whether Adams will be restricted in any way during training camp following his arrest.
