Brad Pitt’s ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, reportedly wishes for love and healing for her children as they consider dropping their father’s last name. For those unversed, Vivienne has become the fourth of their children to file a legal petition to drop Pitt from her name. Previously, the former couple’s older children, Shiloh, Zahara, and Maddox, filed legal petitions to drop their father’s last name. Amid all this, the Maria star wishes only good and healing for her children.

Brad Pitt’s former wife, Angelina Jolie, reportedly hopes their children heal as they consider dropping Pitt from their names. Jolie shares six children with her actor ex-husband: Shiloh, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Four of the six children have already filed legal petitions to drop their father’s last name (via PEOPLE).

A source spoke on Jolie’s behalf: “If people knew the whole truth, they would have more sympathy for the children and respect them. The fact they aren’t speaking ill or sharing things publicly only shows their decency.” Furthermore, the source added, “Angie hasn’t been fighting and isn’t angry. She just wants everyone to heal.”

On July 21, Vivienne joined her older siblings, Shiloh, Zahara, and Maddox, and filed a legal request to remove Pitt from her name. As per court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the reason for the name change is listed as “personal.”

The 18-year-old has sought to officially change her name to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. Similarly, Zahara hopes to be known by her new full name, Zahara Marley Jolie, while Maddox is requesting to be known as Maddox Chivan Jolie. Notably, their legal petitions are pending in court.

Maddox’s hearing is set for September 14, and Zahara’s is scheduled for September 28. As per the documents, a hearing on Vivienne’s petition has been scheduled for November 2. Only Shiloh has legally changed her last name from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to simply Shiloh Jolie.

A source close to Pitt told the outlet, “It’s sad to see someone repeatedly publicize their successful alienation of their children from the other parent.”
